Yes, two days in a row :)  Yesterday I made it to a Yoga class and today I went to the pool.  I purchased a FUP (Frequent User Pass) that gives me unlimited access to the two Anne Arundel Pools from Sept - Dec.  I tried to start out with some light swimming, I.E. I did five laps and five more with a kick board and fins.

For those who really know me, yes my true motivation was to get into the hot tub after the swim :)

Don’t think I deserve a pat on the back just yet.  I had a terrible day when it came to meals.  I skipped breakfast, had a steak and cheese sandwich with french fries for lunch and when I got home after swimming I ate four big helpings of Petra’s Potatoe Casserole and topped it off with about a half of a bag of Nacho chips that were within arms reach.

Yes, I talked myself into going back to a Yoga class.  I might talk a lot of … but it’s actually hard.  By the time the one hour class ended, I was a pool of sweat, exhaused, and well just flat out beaten up by a stick of a woman who can bend in ways that I could only imagine.

Petra and I started out doing Yoga last fall.  It took me three months to get to the point where I could keep up with the class and do most of the basic poses.  What’s really got me upset is that I stopped going and now I’m back at square one again.

Yes, I’m tired of carrying around a spare tire.  Petra and I have made each other a commitment to drop some of this weight.  For my part, I weighed in at 211 lbs. on Monday.  I’ve set a six month goal to be down to 185 lbs. - 26 weeks from now, I.E. Monday 3/2 is the final weigh-in.

From a BMI perspective, I’m 29.4 - in the “Overweight” category.  This year has seen some slow progress.  I started out at 225 lbs. - in the “Obese” category.  I need to weigh less than 179 lbs. to be considered at the top of the “Normal” category.  That brings me to my one year goal of being 165 lbs. for my 42nd birthday next year.
